In continuation of my Despatch No. 222 of
2689 the 27th. of May last, I have the honour to transmit to you
20 copies of a compilation mbodying general Regulations for
Hongkong Cadets and 75 copies of a pamphlet giving information
as to the cost of living in Hongkong and other particulars
which will be useful to Officers selected in England for
service in this Colony.

I considered it better to issue the Regula-
tions separate from the other information instead of adhering
strictly to the suggestion in the last paragraph of your Des-
-patch No. 100 of the 10th. of April, as the information as to
cost of living etc., may be expected to be in much greater
request than the Regulations for Cadets, and will require more
frequent revision to bring it up to date.
